Reclaimed Bricks

We always maintain a massive inventory of high-quality reclaimed bricks at our salvage yard. However, a brick is rarely just a brick. Historically, there have been hundreds of independent brickyards operating across Sussex alone, meaning antique and period bricks vary drastically depending on their age, regional origin, and kiln firing methods.

Unlike standardised modern brickwork, genuine reclaimed bricks feature a vast diversity of historic sizes, deep textures, and rich character colours. Whether you are sourcing handmade multi-stock bricks, industrial wirecut & engineering bricks, or traditional facing and red kiln bricks, these unique variations stem from local clay content and historic manufacturing techniques.

To guarantee the highest quality for extensions, renovations, and historic conservation projects, all our salvaged bricks are meticulously cleaned by hand. Hand-cleaning preserves the beautiful, weathered finish of the period face far better than harsh machine cleaning.

Because our stocks of historic building materials change continuously, we highly recommend visiting our yard in person to view our available stock, especially if you are trying to find an exact brick match for an existing Sussex or Kent property.
