We have this pair of cast iron heavy duty driveway gates with square bars and a central band of spike detail. These come with part of the wrap around hinges (which would have connected to a bar on the post) the bottom has a dome lug which would have sat in a cup. The central stiles continue down and are set on wheels (one running free and one is seized) which would have run in a ground track. They do have a lock with ring handles although the lock is seized and they also have a gate gate closing strip. Very solid and very heavy with significant peeling paint plus some surface rust creating a lovely patina.
