Oak Chapel Balustrade

A splendid pair of oak chapel balustrade salvaged from the chapel at Moira House Girls School in Eastbourne and dating from the 1950’s.  Elegant soft edges and lines with a silver painted ‘cross pattée’ in the centre.

One balustrade has cut out sections on the base of the wall newel post where it was cut into the step, and a small damaged section part way up.  The opposing newel post on this one is also an inch shorter, due to differing floor heights.  The other has suffered extensive damage to the wall newel post, please see pictures.  Otherwise in good solid ex-site condition.
